Rest in Peace, Tita Margie

It's a sad time for my family. My Tita Margie has passed away.

She was very faithful (and her family continues to be). It was that strength of belief that helped her and her family get through tremendously difficult challenges over the years. Many years ago, Tita Margie suffered an aneurysm but despite the odds, she survived. No, she thrived! So considering what she had to overcome, it was heartbreaking to learn that she had a terminal illness about a year ago. Still, faith kept her and her family steadfast.

While it could not have been easy and must have been very frightening, she lived her final year with tremendous grace. Tito Chet, her extraordinarily loving husband, and her family stayed by her side in her final journey. Tita Margie requested a living memorial where the people around her would get to say goodbye and share their thoughts with her while she was still alive. I'm happy that she was able to feel the love of the people around her in her final days with us and that her family and friends could let her know just how much she meant to them before she passed on.

Rest in peace, Tita Margie.
